Land A-Hoya
The Hoya Round the Island Race took place on Saturday 16th June around The Isle of Wight. The eleven Denplan Teams, consisting of member dentists and Denplan staff, were competing for the first ever Denplan Sailing Trophy in a bid to raise funds for the NSPCC FULL STOP campaign.

There were a total of 1,735 yachts and 15,000 sailors competing in the race, which involved rallying to beat the clock around the 50 nautical mile course. Next year’s race is scheduled for Saturday 22nd June 2002.

Denplan’s charity tea ladies
It was a cunning disguise, but Denplan's Managing Director, Stephen Gates and Commercial Director, Nigel Jones, were sadly all too recognisable beneath the garish make-up and gaudy headscarves as they donned their 'pinnies' to raise money for NSPCC.

The glamorous "tea ladies"; did their best to entice members of staff to part with their cash and managed to raise a total of £115.

Driven over the edge for charity
The 9th of May was National Children's Day and to mark the occasion the more courageous members of the Denplan team took up an Abseiling Challenge, with the help of the local army-training unit in Winchester.

Employees were offered the opportunity to don their safety helmets and pay £5.00 for the chance to master the ropes. Thanks to the bravery of the team, over £1,000 was raised.
